Teen Hit-Run Driver Tracked Down After Striking 4-Year-Old Girl In Maryland: Police

A teen driver was caught after leaving a 4-year-old girl with critical injuries during a hit-and-run in Maryland, police said.

The crash occurred on the 300 block of Arden Road West around 3:50 p.m. on Monday afternoon, Jan. 29, Anne Arundel County Police said.

Investigators believe the child, of Brooklyn, Maryland, ran into the roadway and was struck by a 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan driven by a 17-year-old male heading eastbound on Arden Road W.

The Tiguan sped off and was found with help from information provided from witnesses.

Meanwhile, the child was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital by Baltimore City Fire personnel with life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is being led by the Traffic Safety Section.
